11.20.14 | Public Service Commission Natural Gas Conference (Part 1)

On November 20, 2014, the Wisconsin Public Service Commission held a natural gas conference where they discussed the recent boom in shale gas production, in which the U.S. has become the largest gas producing nation in the world.  The export of natural gas, construction of new pipelines, use of natural gas vehicles, and increase in natural gas-fired electric generation has resulted in record-breaking gas production growth in the U.S.  These new ways to utilize and move natural gas have brought regional and national benefits, but have also contributed to uncertainty about gas supply, costs, and reliability.  Specifically, many Wisconsin natural gas customers experienced significant price increases during the winter of 2013-14.  Panelists discussed what we can expect for 2015 and beyond?
